How To Clean Your Vape Tank To Keep It Tasting Good
When you use a vaping device with a tank, you will want to clean it periodically to ensure that it performs well and still tastes good. Depending on how often you use your vaping device, you will want to do this cleaning every month or so. The type of vape juice you use can also dictate how often the tank needs cleaning, and when you are replacing the coil is a perfect time to do this. If you have not cleaned your vape tank before and are ready to change the coil, here is some information on how to do it.
Taking Your Vape Apart
The first thing to do is empty the vape tank and take everything apart. It is vital to note how everything came apart so that you can get it back together again easily. Most devices are similar, and they will come apart similarly, and there are many videos on YouTube that you can watch to see how to take your model apart. Once you have got all the components ready for cleaning, you will need to decide how thorough a cleaning they require, and there are a few options available to you.
A Simple Rinse
If there is not much build-up of e-liquid in your tank and it is not that dirty, you can get away with giving it a simple clean. An easy way to do this is to take the components that need cleaning and rinse these under the tap using warm water. Fill a bowl with water, put it in the microwave for two minutes, and then take the components you have rinsed and put them in the hot water in the bowl. Leave them in there until the water has cooled, and then you can give them a thorough cleaning. Once all the parts are clean, you can use a paper towel to dry them, and you can also use a hairdryer if you want.
Give The A More Thorough Cleaning
You can also use one of the ingredients in your e-cig juice to clean your tank, which will clean it thoroughly for you. You will need Propylene Glycol, the PG in the PG/VG ratio you see on your vape juice. Place the tank parts in the container and pour the propylene glycol on top, so it is fully covered and leave it to soak for a few hours. Take the tank out of your container and place it on a paper towel and let it drip dry and you will have a clean tank for your vaping device.
Use A Cleaning Agent
You can use things to give it an even more thorough cleaning if you want, and some of the cleaning agents you will probably have at home. You can use any of the following:
- Vinegar
- Baking Soda
- Ethanol
- Vodka
- Lemon Juice
- Dish Washing Liquid
You will use a similar process to when you use propylene glycol to clean your tank, but the primary difference is you will need to rinse the parts thoroughly before using them. Liquids like vinegar have a strong smell, and without a rinse, they can remain and ruin your vaping experience. For more information on cleaning your vape tank and components, click here.
